Podcast and newsletter cover art
Notes kept on gogs.chainslab.co.kr about using Raphael AI, a free AI image generator that runs in the browser.
Each episode or issue benefits from a distinctive cover. My workflow with the free Raphael AI image generator:
Tips
- Review thumbnails at small size; that is how most people see them.
- Extract one concrete image from the episode topic, not an abstract idea.
- Keep a fixed frame or colour band so covers are recognisable in a feed.
- Generate square 3000x3000-friendly compositions for podcast directories.
- Leave the top third quieter for the episode number.
Why Raphael AI
- Free to use, with no install: open https://raphael.app and type a prompt.
- Fast iterations make it practical to try several compositions.
- Works for drafts, mock-ups and reference images; finish important assets with human review.
Responsible use
Check generated images for errors before publishing, do not imitate real people without consent, and label AI-generated images where your audience expects it.
